Then the fun begins, this is what we are all so passionate about and the big pull for creating this amazing opportunity is the animals! At the end of the year, the farm welcomed 3 beautiful new creatures onto the land.

Meet our 3 beautiful Alpacas... Casper (white 10yrs old) Fergus (black 2yrs old) and Oscar (brown 2yrs old). Safe to say they didn’t have the easiest of starts to sunny old Consett as they arrived the morning before Storm Arwin arrived. We set up a beautiful new temporary shelter for them until they could move to the Haystax site, however, Storm Arwin and later another storm decided to cause havoc and ripped up not only 1 shelter but 2 out of the ground and sent them across the field like carrier bags. However, our beautiful animals weren’t fazed by this and are a real part of our family, they are so inquisitive, fun and playful. We are getting harness training soon so we will be able to take them for a walk and get them used to be handled. The children (OK and me) are super excited for this to begin.
