Over the last few weeks, the last of the 70 trenches of our archaeological dig has been completed. The samples have been sent off for analysis and we are very pleased to say there were no significant finds and the area which was thought to be a Roman Ironworks was an old water pipe. Thanks to #VindomoraSolutionsLtd for their help with this. Once the report comes back, we will have all of our boxes ticked for the planning committee in September. Now we just need to replant the grass in the trenches.
