Directions to Haystax
From the A68 from Corbridge
Follow the A68 through Castleside, until you enter Rowley, then take the first left (at the brow of the hill) signposted Lanchester. Follow the road for 1 ¼ mile and you will find us on your right. If you reach a 5-way crossroads, you’ve gone too far.
From Consett
Leaving Consett, in the direction of Delves Lane, follow the road through Delves Lane. Take the first right after the Edwin Hymer (Elddis) caravan factory. Then follow the road down past Knitsley Farm Shop and Knitsley Mill. Go straight over at the crossroads at the bottom of the hill. Follow the road up to the top of the hill and take a right at the 5-way crossroads. You’ll find us on your left after 1/2 mile. We advise you to avoid this route when the roads are icy as the steep bank after Knitsley Mill gets extremely icy and doesn't get gritted.
From Durham
Leave Durham on the A691 leading to Lanchester and Consett. Follow the road until you reach Lanchester. After All Saints Parish Church on your right, take the first left (B6296) leading out of Lanchester passing the Kings Head Pub on your left. Keep on that road up the hill past Lanchester Dairies. Once you pass Lanchester Pet Resort, on your right, you’ll reach a fork in the road. Take the right onto Longedge Lane. Follow the road, past a 5-way crossroads and you’ll find us on your left in 2 miles.
